Knowledge: Departmental Policies and procedures,<br \/>\nSkills Development Act, Labour Relations Act, Basic Conditions of Employment<br \/>\nAct, Skills Development Levies Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act,<br \/>\nCOIDA, SABS Codes, Unemployment Insurance Act, Unemployment<br \/>\nInsurance Contribution Act, Employment Equity Act, Immigration Act. Skills:<br \/>\nFacilitation skills, Planning and organizing, Computer Literacy, Interpersonal<br \/>\nskills, Conflict handling skills, Negotiation skills, Problem solving skills,<br \/>\nInterviewing skills, Presentation skills, Innovative, Analytical, Verbal and written<br \/>\nskills.<br \/>\nDUTIES : Plan and independently conduct substantive inspections with the aim of<br \/>\nensuring compliance with all Labour legislations, namely, Basic Conditions of<br \/>\nEmployment Act (BCEA), Labour Relations Acts (LRA), Employment Equity Act<br \/>\n(EEA), Unemployment Insurance Act (UIA), Compensation for Occupational<br \/>\nInjuries and Diseases Act (COID), Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) and<br \/>\nUI Contributions Act (UCA). Plan and execute investigations independently on<br \/>\nreported cases pertaining to contravention pf Labour legislations and enforce<br \/>\nas and when necessary, including making preparations for and appearing in<br \/>\nCourt as a State witness. Plan and conduct allocated proactive (BLITZ)<br \/>\ninspections regularly to monitor compliance with Labour legislation including<br \/>\ncompilation and consolidation of reports emanating from such inspections.<br \/>\nPlan and conduct advocacy campaigns on all Labour legislation independently,<br \/>\nanalyze impact therefore, consolidate and compile report. Manage the<br \/>\nfinalization of files of cases received and investigations conducted by the<br \/>\nInspectors. Contribute at a higher level to planning, drafting and maintenance<br \/>\nof regional plans and reports including executions of analysis and compilation<br \/>\nof consolidated statistical reports on regional and allocated cases.
